WHAT I HOPE TO BE PAID TO DO...

I write science fiction and fantasy. (Someday, I promise myself, I'll be published!). I started with short stories, but quickly moved on to a fantasy novel that grew and grew until it no longer fit into one book. I've finally accepted that it is a fat trilogy, but it is a fat trilogy with an end. I'm currently taking a break from the monster book and working on a new fantasy-mystery novel that will be (repeat *will be*) a single book.

I am happy to be a member of Ann Arbor's Untitled Writers' Group. The UWG has been around since late 1992. It's a solid group with wide literary interests and writing styles among the members and a slow turn over. We meet every other week to critique each others stories. Most of our members have published short stories and novels. Current and past members have been nominated for the PK Dick award, Local Best First Novel award, the Spectrum Award, and the Lambda Literary Award.

Check out the UWG Blog for our latest news about our members, including sales, awards, book reviews, and other writing-related information.
